We are a specialty grocery store that focuses on making a beneficial impact on our community and the planet by creating a circular economic system that helps to reduce everyday waste. Our goal at our package free grocery is to create an accessible store for our community that provides a more sustainable way of shopping by buying as much or as little as needed, creating less food waste and unnecessary packaging.

You can bring in your own containers to fill! They do need to be CLEAN and DRY!

Employees will be checking to ensure containers are able to be filled with this policy.

Container donations are currently PAUSED. We will let you know when they are reopen <3

We allow customers to bring in containers to donate to the store for reuse as a free option for the community.

We only accept them on MONDAYS & TUESDAYS.

They must be dropped off at the counter with a staff member.

They must be CLEAN, DRY & FREE OF ANY DEBRIS or they will not be accepted.

We only accept those with a tight-fitting, matching lid. We do not accept plastic yogurt containers, plastic peanut butter containers, or other containers that may pose allergen hazards to our community.

Your understanding and attention to this matter are greatly appreciated!

All containers that we are able to send back to the purveyor to be refilled are sent back and refilled again and again! In some cases, very rare, we have to recycle the containers. With this, we hope that buying such a large quantity of product, lessens the amount of smaller containers that need to be recycled if participating at a normal grocery store.

Masks are optional for customers currently.

We sanitize bulk bins, scoops, tables, door handles, etc. frequently throughout the day.

COVID policies are subject to change as we navigate this time together.

At this time we are still in the process of creating our ecommerce presence. Once we feel we are prepared to launch this aspect of shopping, we will let our community know.

Not at this time, but once we have our ecommerce launched, delivery within a certain area will be an option.

A circular economy is a sustainable model of production and consumption. It uses, reuses, repairs, refurbishes, shares, and finally, recycles. This ensures the maximum value is extracted from all items with minimal impact and minimal waste. A circular economy is the opposite of our current linear economy. Recycling alone can’t combat the massive amounts of packaging, food, and other products which are created just to be discarded a short time later. We believe that providing our community the option to shop with more intention regarding sourcing, packaging, and overall global impact will help shift us towards a more circular future.

After our first year in business, each month, a transparent donation of a percentage of profits will be donated to local charities & nonprofits that serve our planet with the climate crisis, equality for BIPOC &LGBTQ2S+ and shifting repressive power dynamics. We want to make a difference, together. We will have events set up to serve our neighbors with the purpose of creating meaningful relationships at the store and beyond.

At The Realm Refillery, sustainable sourcing of products and services that considers the environmental impacts, as well as workers' treatment, is our top priority. The bottom line of social and environmental benefits gained from sustainable sourcing is a must because to us, it’s all about the three Ps —
